Initial Review

Before the construction starts, we visit site and then prepare a detailed report to inform the funder of the specifics of the project. This report provides an independent commentary on:

Progress Monitoring and Drawdown Reporting

Throughout the construction period, we undertake regular site visits to review the works completed and assess progress in practical terms. With first-hand construction experience and a careful, methodical approach, we assess whether the works executed align with the build programme, cost plan, and the value being claimed. Following each visit, we provide the funder with a detailed interim report outlining progress, construction cost management, any implications for completion, and material matters affecting the development. This structured assessment supports fair and informed drawdown decisions.

Completion Review

At project completion, we attend site for a final visit and:

  • Liaise with the borrower’s representative regarding the certificate of practical completion, building control certificate and warranty documentation
  • Review and comment on any schedule of defects
  • Confirm the development is in a position that supports the safe release of remaining funds
